SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Various Types Of Vegetations: Grassy plains, savanna with acacias,
wooded hills and mountains are the backdrop for an extraordinary
concentration of animals which reaches its park during the wildebeest
migration. Almost 1.5 million wildebeest undertake a circuit of
1000Kms ,searching for new pastures and watering holes.
Best Time: For a migration from December to May in south of a park and
from June to October to the west (Western Corridor) and to the north. How To Get There: From Arusha a 5 hour drive or 1 1/2 hour
charter flight.
To Do: At dawn a balloon safari in a park. Two Side Trips: Lake
Natron to the north, at the foot of Oldonyo Lengai Volcano (2 to 3
days round trip) with the possibility of undertaking and visiting Lake
Victoria, the source of the river Nile, to the West (2 to 3 days round
trip). From Mwanza, the region capital, a visit to Rubando National
Park located on an island in the middle of the lake.
Do Not Miss: The big cats on the kopjes (huge granite rocks)
which dominate the plains. Hundreds of crocodiles in Grumeti river.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
The park is located between the cliff of Great Rift Valley and Lake
Manyara .there several different types of forests with a variety of
fauna- hippopotamuses, giraffes, elephants (the highest density in
Africa- 7 elephants/km sq, lion sleeping the trees, zebras, monkeys
and a profusion of birds (more than 380 species).
Best Time: Whole year.
How To Get There: From Arusha, 3 hrs drive or 1 hour charter
flight.
