Ruaha National Park Situated in the centre of the country, the second
largest National Park is bordered by Ruaha River and offers spectacular
viewpoints. From July to December the wildlife is concentrated on the
banks of the river and around the water holes. You will see herds of
elephants, giraffes ,pride of lions and Greater Kudus without moving
from the banks. The setting is exceptionally well preserved.
Best Time: From July to February.
How to Get There: From Dar es Salaam 8 hours drive or 0130h charter
flight.
To Do: Walking safari with a ranger and a 4 wheel drive safaris.
Do Not Miss: A relaxing afternoon watching wildlife through
binoculars on the banks of the river. Near Iringa, a stop in Prehistoric
Isimila where you will find impressive natural red earth pillars eroded by
the centuries.
