Situated in Mkato plains, dominated by hills and mountains, Mikumi is
a small jewel. The park is divided in to three zones which allow
you to see all of the wildlife species and certain rare species such
as wild dog.
Best Time: Whole year but btw March and May you must use a four wheel
drive.
How To Get There: From Dar es Salaam 4 hrs or by charter 1 hr flight.
To Do: A day trip to Uduzungwa Mountains National Park. Spectacular
mountain views and waterfalls with its particular flora and fauna.
Do Not Miss: An early morning departure to park at the first light of
the day. On the road btw Dar es Salaam and Mikumi visit the handcraft
shops selling basket ware, jewellery and games.
