The island is some 800 metres long and 200 metres wide and is surrounded by small coves with white sandy beaches and coral reefs. The thick tropical vegetation of baobabs, palm trees and passion fruits, harbors a small historic graveyard and rich wild-life including a herd of indigenous Duiker Chapwani (miniature antelopes).

These are some of the most spacious and airy bandas on Zanzibar with extra wide double beds, high-pitched roofs with front sit-out and day beds. There is an open wardrobe, some shelves, a safe-box and bedside tables, all made from natural materials and perfectly in keeping with the simple Robinson-Crusoe style.
